Dr. med. Hong-Guang Dong

He graduated in medicine from the University of Chinese Medicine in Beijing in 1989, and obtained his doctorate from the University of Geneva in July 2004. In 1996, he and his colleagues Dr Comte and Dr Graff, in collaboration with Prof Bishop and Prof Campana, set up the first centre for integrative medicine in Switzerland, in the Reproductive Medicine Clinic at the HUG Maternity Hospital.
He is currently an associate doctor at the HUG in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department, the doctor responsible for acupuncture consultations at the Pain Clinic at the Hôpital de la Tour, Vice-President of the Association Romande des Médecins Acupuncteurs and Deputy Secretary General of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine. He was also selected as a member of the WHO's Expert Advisory Panel on Traditional and Complementary Medicine. He is therefore the founder of the first Chinese-Swiss centre for integrative Chinese medicine in Switzerland, supported by the HUG, the Hôpital de la Tour and the State of China.
His areas of expertise in integrative medicine, both allopathic and traditional Chinese medicine, are: oncology, pain management, gynaecology and reproductive medicine, endocrinology-diabetology and metabolic diseases, as well as aesthetic medicine.
