Meet Anouck Bernardino, dedicated nurse at the Centre de Diabétologie
A journey rich in human experiences
With over 10 years of experience in surgery at Hôpital de Nyon, Anouck has developed solid expertise in patient care. However, her desire to adopt a more holistic approach to patient care, beyond acute treatment, led her to join the Centre de Diabétologie in 2024. “What I enjoy here is supporting patients with a chronic illness,” she explains.
Collaboration at the heart of care
Anouck works closely with Dr. Delgado to provide personalized care to patients. From the very first consultations, she plays a key role by offering detailed explanations, placing continuous glucose monitoring sensors, and analyzing patients' glucose levels. These sensors, which continuously measure glucose levels, provide valuable data for both patients and the medical team. Between medical appointments, she conducts consultations with patients to answer their questions, interpret sensor data, and suggest adjustments, which are then validated by the doctor.
Anouck is also involved in monitoring blood pressure, preventing diabetes-related complications, and supporting pregnant women with gestational diabetes. This collaborative work with the doctor ensures comprehensive and effective patient care.
A future focused on excellence
To obtain certification as a specialized diabetes nurse, Anouck will begin a 19-month specialized training program in diabetes counseling starting next September. “This federal diploma will provide me with all the tools I need to support patients and become a key resource for my colleagues,” she explains.
Thanks to the dedication of passionate professionals like Anouck, the Centre de Diabétologie at the Clinique de Genolier implements a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to transform the daily lives of diabetic patients.
