Care units

The Clinique Générale-Beaulieu has 3 surgical units: 1 medical unit, 1 ambulatory oncology unit, 1 ambulatory surgical unit.

The caregivers who work in these units share common values in order to offer patients quality, safe and individualised care.

In a comfortable setting with quality hotel services, the patient is surrounded by a multidisciplinary team (doctors, nurses, care assistants, dieticians, etc.) who accompany them throughout their treatment.

Experienced and efficient, the teams are regularly trained to provide excellent and specific care: wound care, stoma therapy, oncology, palliative care. The clinic also has a nurse specialised in infection prevention and control, a clinician in charge of in-house training, a group of practitioner trainers who supervise HEDS students, a group of ERAS (Enhanced Recovery after Surgery) certified nurses, as well as 2 breast cancer referral nurses.

At the forefront of new technologies and sensitive to new approaches, the clinic innovates by proposing a development of the technical platform and new know-how (therapeutic massages, hypnosis...).

With their years of experience, the nursing staff places the patient and their relatives at the centre of their concerns.

Operating theatre

The operating theatre is equipped with 7 rooms and is able to meet the needs of the various surgical disciplines.

An induction room serving each of the operating theatres ensures that the patient is welcomed by the anaesthetist whom they will have met beforehand in consultation to carry out the preoperative assessment.

In order to meet the ever-increasing demands of the surgeons practising their art, the whole of the operating theatre's technical platform is equipped with all the most high-performance equipment, thus making high technology available to them. Indeed, the medico-technical evolution of the last few years remains unavoidable for a state-of-the-art establishment, the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu offers a medico-chirurgical equipment whose non-exhaustive list is presented to you by type of surgical specialty.

The Clinique Générale-Beaulieu was very early on in the development of robotic surgery using the Da Vinci ® system (Intuitive Surgical), making it a pioneer in this field of minimally invasive surgery. We are currently equipped with the latest version of the four-armed robot in HD (Da Vinci® Xi HD) and a projection room in 3.

Recovery room


The ward is managed by a specially trained team dedicated to recovery, as well as to the USPOR (Postoperative Care and Resuscitation Unit), with specific training in resuscitation (ACLS).
Completely renovated and extended in 2010, the room operates 24 hours a day. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment:

  • Indirect white light with variable intensity
  • 11 recovery stations
  • 1 Sahara blood heater
  • 2 autotransfusion machines (Cell Saver®)
  • 3 patient warmers (Warm Touch)
  • 1 blood gas analyser
  • 1 capillary blood glucose meter
  • 1 HemoCue® Instant Hemoglobin Analyser

Postoperative care and resuscitation unit (USPOR)


Adjacent to the recovery room, the Postoperative Care and Resuscitation Unit (USPOR) was completely renovated in 2010. It operates 24 hours a day and is staffed by a team of nurses trained in acute care.

The USPOR is equipped with natural light for the comfort of the patients and the nursing team, as well as with the latest technology to ensure an adapted and efficient care:

  • 5 monitoring stations, including one in a single room
  • 1 defibrillator
  • 1 external pacemaker
  • 1 blood flow analysis device (Doppler)
  • PCA pumps, programmable devices for intravenous or epidural pain control
  • Volumetric pumps and electric syringe pumps
  • 1 respirator

Outpatient centre

Opened in March 2019, this surgery centre welcomes patients for outpatient surgery. It is open to all patients regardless of insurance coverage (basic and complementary).

With a dedicated entrance located next to the main entrance of the clinic, it allows the differentiation of inpatient and outpatient paths.

The surgical outpatient centre includes:

  • A waiting room

  • An operating theatre with 3 intervention rooms
  • A recovery room
  • A consultation room
  • A stoma therapy room
  • A snack area

Equipped with the latest technological innovations, it is also linked to the stationary operating theatre, allowing doctors to move quickly from one area to another. The centre is designed to ensure that outpatients are cared for in the best possible conditions: limitation of transfers, optimisation of their comfort, total safety in terms of the microbiological environment.

Access to the outpatient centre for accompanying persons is only allowed on admission and discharge.
