Radi-oncology, also known as radiotherapy, is a method of treating cancer by exposing a specific part of the body to high-intensity X-rays, which are directed precisely at the tumour.
Radio-oncology is a multi-disciplinary treatment that brings together radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, pathologists, radio-oncologists, oncologists and surgeons, who discuss each case in detail at weekly colloquia, also known as Tumour Boards, in order to jointly determine the best possible treatment option. Support care is provided in parallel, focusing on the coordinated management of disease-related difficulties.
At Clinique Générale-Beaulieu, our oncology centres offer our patients holistic, multidisciplinary care. Focused on health and well-being, our specialists and various therapists work with the patient at every stage: prevention, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and return to active life.
